Lay-Z-Spa Mushroom Cover Seals – Stop Water Leaks & Restore Your Hot Tub

These replacement Lay-Z-Spa mushroom cover seals are designed to stop water leaks caused by worn, hardened or perished mushroom check valves.

Over time, aggressive water conditions, high chlorine levels, scale build-up and poor water chemistry can cause the rubber mushroom seals to become brittle and lose their sealing ability. When this happens, water can leak past the valve and pool underneath your hot tub pump unit.

Common Signs of Failed Mushroom Seals

✔ Water leaking from underneath the pump unit

✔ Slow water loss from the spa

✔ Perished or hardened mushroom valve covers

✔ Intermittent leaks around the A and B pipe connections

Why Do Mushroom Seals Fail?

One of the biggest causes of premature seal failure is limescale build-up. Scale can form on the mushroom valves and prevent them from sealing correctly.

To help protect your new seals, we recommend adding a bottle of LayZrepair No Scale & Stain Remover to your order. Regular use helps reduce scale build-up and can extend the life of your hot tub seals and internal components.

Check Your Non-Return Valve Too

If the non-return valve fitted to the A pipe on your hot tub liner has also become perished, this can increase pressure within the plumbing system and create the perfect conditions for mushroom seal failure.

For a complete repair, we recommend replacing both the mushroom seals and the non-return valve at the same time.
